Truemed | Elias Sports Performance

Your training is
medically necessary.
Get paid back for it.

Elias Sports Performance has partnered with Truemed, which means your HSA or FSA dollars may be able to cover part of your ESP membership. Here's exactly how the reimbursement process works.

No changes at checkout

You'll pay for your membership the same way you always have.

01 The Process

Six steps to
reimbursement.

Nothing about how you pay ESP changes. The reimbursement happens afterward, between you, Truemed, and your HSA/FSA administrator.

HOW IT WORKS
01
At ESP

Join and pay as usual

Sign up for your ESP membership and pay with your normal card at point of sale, exactly as you would today. Keep your receipt — you'll need it later.

02
Check your inbox

Get your Truemed link

After you become a member, we'll send you a welcome email with a personal link to start your Truemed intake.

03
~5 minutes

Complete the health survey

Truemed asks a short set of questions about your health goals. An independent, licensed healthcare provider reviews your answers — no appointment required.

04
If you qualify

Receive your Letter of Medical Necessity

If the provider determines your training is medically necessary, Truemed emails you a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). It's typically valid for 12 months, covering future ESP payments too.

05
Submit your claim

File with your HSA/FSA administrator

Log in to your HSA/FSA administrator's portal, find "Submit a Claim" or "Reimbursement," and upload your ESP receipt and your LMN together.

06
7–10 business days, typically

Get reimbursed

Your administrator reviews the claim and deposits approved funds to your bank account or HSA. Timing varies by provider. Reuse the same LMN for future ESP payments within its 12-month window.

Before you
get started

Truemed is a company that connects HSA/FSA holders with independent licensed providers who can determine whether a purchase — like a training membership — qualifies as a medically necessary expense.
An LMN is a document signed by a licensed provider stating that a specific product or service is appropriate for treating, mitigating, or preventing a health condition you have. It's what your HSA/FSA administrator uses to approve your claim.
NNo. Eligibility is determined by an independent licensed provider based on your survey answers, and final approval always rests with your HSA/FSA administrator.
No. Once you have a valid LMN, you can submit it with a new receipt for each ESP payment made within its 12-month validity window.
Contact your HSA/FSA administrator to understand what additional documentation they need — Truemed can often help provide supporting information if the denial is documentation-related.
This page is for general education and isn't tax or legal advice. Eligibility for HSA/FSA reimbursement depends on your individual plan and is determined by an independent licensed provider and your plan administrator — not by ESP. Consult your HSA/FSA administrator or a tax professional with questions about your specific situation.
